Mixed Billing Practice 

Penrith Skin Cancer Clinic is a mixed-billing practice, providing both Medicare- and privately billed services.   

Medicare / Bulk-Billed Services 

We offer bulk billing for eligible patients, including: 

• Pension Card holders 

• Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cardholders 

• Children under 16 years of age 

For eligible Pension Card and DVA cardholders, medically necessary skin biopsies and skin cancer procedures are also bulk billed. 

Standard Consultation Fee 

For patients who are not eligible for bulk billing, our standard consultation fee for an appointment of less than 20 minutes is $80. 

The current Medicare rebate is $45.03, leaving an estimated out-of-pocket cost of $34.97 for eligible Medicare patients. 

Procedures & Other Services 

The following services are privately billed: 

• Skin biopsies and skin cancer procedures for patients who are not eligible for bulk billing 

• Removal of lumps and bumps 

• Cosmetic procedures and treatments 

Your doctor will discuss the recommended procedure and explain the applicable fees with you before proceeding. We aim to ensure that you understand the expected costs before any procedure is undertaken.
